The TASCAM RECORDER CONNECT application facilitates remote management of up to five units simultaneously, providing users with the ability to monitor device status and observe recorded waveforms in real time to verify operation. The app allows for customization by assigning specific names and colors to individual devices, enhancing ease of identification. Additionally, it supports the inclusion of metadata—such as project name, scene, and take number—in recording files through BEXT and iXML formats.
Note that controlling the units via the TASCAM RECORDER CONNECT app requires the optional AK-BT1 or AK-BT2 Bluetooth adapter, sold separately. For detailed instructions on connecting these adapters and utilizing the app’s features, please consult the official user manual.
It is important to recognize that this application does not support monitoring of the main unit’s input audio. To monitor input sound directly, users should utilize the headphone output on the device.
